Leveraging 4G FC fabric and loop architectures, the EC-12X-4F supports data environments from a single server to servers clustered together for additional high availability. The dual active RAID controllers provide four 4G FC host ports, up to 2GB of battery backed cache, separate cache coherency channels and StorView Path Manager MPIO-based multipath protection to ensure continuous data access. The EC-12X-4F is compatible with existing 1G and 2G FC infrastructure for maximum investment protection. The OS independent StorView management software provides a simple, intuitive user interface for automated configuration, remote management and monitoring, performance statistics and advanced diagnostics.

Two firmware options are available to surpass the 2 terabyte limitation; 16byte CDB and variable sector size. With either of these functions enabled, users are able to create slices and map LUNs greater than 2TB to their respective host channels.
